The Fall Season

As the fall season begins to show its colors, we are reminded once again that……….

Psalm 19:  1–2  "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge."

Psalm 8:  3–4  "When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?"

Psalm 119: 105

Psalm 119: 105

Psalms 119: 105 states, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

In our daily walk there are many decisions that we need to make that lead us down life's pathway. The scripture confirms that if we go to the word of God on a daily basis to receive our guidance then our pathway will be filled by the light of God's love.

HE Cares

He Cares

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.
Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.
In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living? "
(Psalm 56:3-13)

Do you know how important you are to God? He cares so much about every detail of your life. He cares about your thoughts, feelings, and emotions.
In fact, what you are going through is so important to Him that He records every sorrow and collects every tear you've shed. Why would God record your sorrows and collect your tears? It's because He loves you so much.
He wants to heal every single hurt and pain. He sees the longings and desires of your heart, and you can rest assured that behind the scenes He is working things out for your good!

I want to remind you today that God is with you. He is on your side. He has your best interest at heart, and He is working to bring restoration and peace to every area of your life. Keep standing, keep believing, and keep doing the right thing because the One who collects your tears will restore every broken place in your life!

Go out and make it a GREAT day!!!

My Testimony

My Testimony
Bobby Reese Jr

There are two works of grace, repentance and sanctification.

With only the first work of grace, Repentance it is like being in a row boat with only one oar.

You keep going in circles. (sin and repent)

With the second work, Sanctification,

you receive the Holy Spirit which is the keeping power.

Thus, you receive the second oar which keeps you going in a straight path towards eternal life.

Matthew 7:13 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way,

that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it"

There is no greater love and Joy  then serving Jesus.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. " (Romans 8:28).

God is working in your life today. No matter what you may be facing, no matter what trial you may be

going through, God has a plan. He is working out a plan for your good. You may not see it, but look with

your eyes of faith today. Keep standing. Keep believing. Keep hoping. Keep following His Word. Focus

on His goodness in your life, knowing that He rewards the people who seek after Him. By following His Word, you will see His plan come to pass,

you'll experience His peace and joy, and you will have victory in your life!

Sanctification is Possible

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13

The Bible calls it sanctification.  Jesus calls it bring "one with the Father."  John calls it "perfect love."  Paul calls it "the love of God shed abroad in our hearts."  Throughout the scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, this doctrine of salvation through sanctification is found.  An incalculable amount of literature has been written on the doctrine of sanctification, and the question: What is Sanctification?

As with any question, let us keep to the scriptures, for they are the “words of life;” and in regards to this particular question: What is Sanctification?  I would like to start by plainly stating what it is not:

It is not the will of man. (1 Thessalonians 4:3)
It is not obtained or sustained by the merit of man. (Ephesians 2:8)
It is not a “magic wand” for all your problems. (1 Peter 2:20)
It is not for a specific group of people. (Titus 2:11 & 12)
It is not after death. (Titus 2:11 & 12)
It is not forgiveness. (Acts 26:18)
It is not something you grow into. (Acts 2: 1-4)
It is not impossible. (Philippians 4:13)

In my opinion (now mind you, this is my opinion), most of the confusion surrounding this doctrine can be found based somewhere in the above eight notions, at least four of which are frequently debated among denominations today.  Three of which are a misconception, and the final one is both.  This last one I would like to focus on for the time being, the notion that Sanctification “is not impossible.”

I believe and the scriptures affirm that is not a notion at all, or an opinion; rather it is a fact from God.  Sanctification “is not impossible”.  It is very possible and very attainable.  In fact, it is the very reason Jesus came and died on this earth: “Father Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth.”(John17:17)  He went on to say “For their sakes I sanctify myself that they also might be sanctified through the truth.” (John 17:19)  Now, before we go further, please understand that Jesus does not expect you to never again commit “human error.”  If you promise your wife you will be home by five, but you get stuck in traffic and come in at five fifteen….you did not lie.  It is human error. Sin is not human error but is committed on purpose.  When the Spirit of God comes into your life and sanctifies you wholly, he will teach you where the line between human error and sin lies; and he will work on that ole’ head of ours AFTER he has perfected our heart.  The reigning power of Jesus Christ can indeed live within any willing, forgiven, human heart and give that man or women the power to overcome sin.  It is possible to live free from sin with Jesus Christ reigning free in your life.

If perhaps even now, there is one or many reading and wondering, can I really live a: holy, clean, pure, sanctified life?  Ask yourself the same question that Paul did to King Agrippa 8 “Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?” (Acts 26:8)  If God can part the seas, calm the storms, stop the sun, create the world, and raise the dead…..can he not raise you out of the dead works of sin?  Indeed, he can raise anyone out of sin.  The sanctified life is one of servitude, humility, dedication, trust, and faith.  To live a life pleasing to God, we must walk each day, not with the mind of man (which is the mind of might or will-power), but with the mind of Christ.
